Crystals 101 Series: How Does Crystal Healing Work?

Welcome back to the second installment of our Crystals 101 Series! If you missed our first blog post, be sure to catch up by clicking this link before you dive into today’s topic. Today we'll explore the science behind crystal healing, so whether you're a skeptic or someone who values understanding the mechanics of things, this is the perfect video for you.

Understanding Crystal Healing

Crystal healing is a natural method of healing that centers around the concept of an energy field. Each one of us possesses an electromagnetic field, a result of the electrical currents that course through our bodies. This energy field forms a unique pattern, akin to a donut shape, with us at the center.

Referred to as the aura within traditional healing circles, this electromagnetic field interacts with the energy fields of other objects, including crystals. But let's keep things grounded in scientific terms to avoid unnecessary skepticism. The human electromagnetic field is scientifically measurable and undeniable, forming the foundation of crystal healing.

Crystals and Electromagnetic Fields

It's not just humans that have these electromagnetic fields; any object that carries an electric charge generates an electric field around itself. Many minerals (see our previous blog on how the overlapping definition of crystals and minerals) are composed of ions, which are atoms or molecules that have gained or lost electrons, resulting in a net electric charge. These charged particles can be positively charged (cations) if they have lost electrons or negatively charged (anions) if they have gained electrons. When these charged ions come together to form a crystalline structure, they arrange themselves in a specific and repeating pattern, known as the crystal lattice.

The arrangement of ions within the crystal lattice can result in regions of positive and negative charges within the mineral. In other words, the charged ions are not uniformly distributed but are organized in a way that creates areas of excess positive charges and areas of excess negative charges. This distribution of charges creates an electric field around the mineral, extending into the surrounding space.

The strength and nature of this electric field depends on factors such as the type and arrangement of ions, the size of the crystal lattice, and the distances between the charged ions. The overall shape of the crystal lattice and the orientation of the ions within it contribute to the electric field's characteristics.

When a crystal is introduced into your electromagnetic field, these two fields interact. The remarkable stability of crystals' structures leads to an equally stable frequency, resulting in a potent electromagnetic field.

Healing Interactions

Now, you might be wondering how this interaction translates into healing. This brings us to the concept of entrainment. Entrainment occurs when two frequencies—like those of a crystal and your own electromagnetic field—come into close proximity. The stronger frequency prevails, causing the weaker frequency to adjust and align itself with the stronger one.

Imagine two violinists playing near each other. The one producing the clearer or more powerful sound will dominate, essentially pulling the other violinist’s sound frequency to match. This same phenomenon is occurring when you experience crystal healing.

Crystal healing's efficacy relies on the fact that humans possess a range of changeable frequencies due to our complex composition. Crystals, with their highly stable frequencies, naturally exert their influence on these more malleable human frequencies. This concept has been understood for centuries, even tracing back to ancient Egypt where crystals were used in traditional healing practices.

So, how does crystal healing work in practice? By introducing a crystal with a desirable frequency—stronger and more stable than the frequency associated with an ailing organ or emotion—into your electromagnetic field, you initiate the process of entrainment. The crystal's frequency takes the lead, gently coaxing the frequency of the ailing organ or emotion to align with the desired frequency.

Exploring Crystal Frequencies

Now, you might be curious about the different frequencies that crystals possess. Fear not, as we're planning an entire video dedicated to that topic. Crystal frequencies vary depending on the composition of the crystal itself. Different elements result in distinct frequencies, reflected in the crystal's appearance and color.

In our upcoming video, aptly named "Crystals 101: Choosing the Right Crystals for Your Healing Goal" we'll delve into the plethora of crystal frequencies and guide you in choosing the right crystals for specific situations. We're excited to help you uncover the magical world of crystal healing frequencies.

Until then, remember to like, subscribe, and leave your questions in the comments below. We can't wait to explore crystal frequencies with you in our next video. Stay tuned for more knowledge and blessings on your crystal healing journey!
