In this blog post, we will explore alternative ways to utilize crystal chips, whether you have leftover chips from your roller bottle DIYs or crystals that are not safe for roller bottles. These methods will allow you to continue benefiting from the energy and beauty of crystals in various settings. Let's dive in!
Add Crystal Chips to Amber Glass Bottles
When you finish your bottle, make sure to cleanse and reenergize your crystals before reuse.
Add a few crystal chips to your essential oil bottles for boosted benefits. When you finish the bottle, make sure to cleanse and reenergize your crystals before reuse.
While clear glass roller bottles are a popular choice for combining crystals and essential oils, you can just as easily add liquid-safe crystal chips into the original amber glass bottles from your preferred essential oil brand. Dark bottles help protect any added carrier oil from degradation. So dark glass is a great option for long term storage, whether in standard, dropper, or roller form.

1. The crystals you choose still need to be safe to store in liquids.
2. Clear glass bottles (such as these roller bottles) are totally fine if you’re planning to store your collection in a cool, dark place.
3. Dark Glass Bottles are preferable if you’ll be keeping your collection out on the countertop and using the blends over longer periods of time.
2. Combine Crystals and Essential Oils Outside of Roller Bottles
If you have specific crystals that complement the properties of certain essential oils, but they aren’t safe to store INSIDE the bottle, you can still create a powerful combination.
Simply place the crystals, such as calming stones like Aquamarine or protective stones like Labradorite, in a dish or bowl alongside your favorite essential oil. The crystal frequency will travel through the glass, harmonizing with the essential oil energies and providing a soothing and aromatic experience. Remember to match the crystal properties with the corresponding essential oils for the desired effect.
The one catch to this method is that the crystal and oil vibrations will harmonize while in contact, through the glass, but the benefits will wear off over time once the bottle is removed from the bowl of crystal chips. Therefore this method is best used when you can store your bottle in the crystal-filled bowl nearly all the time.
3. Cleanse and Energize Crystals on Clear Quartz
Clear Quartz is known for its cleansing properties and can help reset the energy of other crystals. Lay your quartz crystal chips on a dish or plate. Nestle your tumbled stones into the quartz chips to help rejuvenate their healing energy. You can also drape your crystal jewelry across the quartz chips, to help maintain the positive energy and intentions of your precious pieces.
