FIVE USEFUL TIPS FOR DAILY HYGIENE ON THE ROAD

Just because you live on the road

doesn’t mean you have to smell bad!

You know you can be clean and fresh while living a nomad life…right?

Living this way would not be possible for me if personal hygiene was completely off limits.

Bacteria is real

and when you are living in a cramped trailer and the great outdoors, well, I think you can conjure up some pretty raw odors.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Here’s a super simple typical morning routine of mine that happened to be in this beautiful place in Arizona.

Standing under a blue sky

in comfortable temperatures brushing your teeth and contemplating the natural beauty all around you is a great place to be.

Keep in mind, you have to deal with the fact that you are not placing your bare feet on a floor that gives you comfort, shuffling into your warm bathroom flicking on the light and brushing your teeth with running water.

So, for some this can add an extra layer of mild stress.

But that’s what living nomadically and choosing to make your life more of an adventure is all about.  You deal with small inconveniences for the greater benefits.

Let’s start with brushing teeth.

The only difference between brushing my teeth in the trailer and outside is, I have to spit into a cup when I’m brushing my teeth inside the trailer.

I know, I know, it’s kind of gross.

But not so gross that it took me a long time to get used to. 😉

Again, another minor inconvenience you deal with.  You make an exchange when you choose living freely this way.  I gave up some conveniences to live life limitlessly.

And hey, if I’m outside, I just spit on the ground!

That’s why I always like to use a plant based natural product that won’t hurt the earth.  It’s the same for my face wash.

I made my own with essential oils and it’s perfectly safe for the planet.

FIVE USEFUL TIPS FOR DAILY HYGIENE ON THE ROAD

TIP #1.
Always keep all your toiletries and personal care products in one bag or place.  This will help you stay organized inside your vehicle/sleeping quarters.

You don’t have to limit yourself with self-care products.  But then again, you kind of do.  Only travel with what you love to use consistently and the few extra items that complete your self-care.

TIP #2. Make sure you have clean water on hand.  Living nomadically means you use water sparingly and you may have one source or jug that serves for drinking, cooking, and cleaning.  No matter.  As long as you have clean water.

TIP #3. If the weather is in your favor and you have a good parking spot, take that morning routine outdoors!  The added benefit of starting your day in nature is what always confirms how much I love living on the road.

TIP #4. Buy a quick drying cloth that is machine washable and an exfoliating pad for your face.  You will use less water, get rid of bacteria and dead skin cells, and feel completely refreshed.

(You can still do face masks.  Your cloth will make that clean up way easier.)

TIP #5. Deodorant-shave-deodorant.  This is the “no water” method. That’s my dirty little trick for clean refreshed pits on “no shower” days.  Nobody knows that you have just stood outside in a national park getting ready for your day.  You will feel fresh as a daisy!

Beyond this, I decide what essential oils, supplements and crystal jewelry to use and wear depending on the intentions I want to set for that day.

So, are you convinced?

Want to try on this lifestyle for yourself for a while?

Hmmmm…… Do I detect some squirming in your seat, some deep sighs that mean you’ve known for a while that you want to make a change?

“Erin, how exactly do I do that?”

Did you think this or say it out loud?

If you said it out loud, you may need a break from what IS NOT WORKING in your life.

Y’all, I have an easy quick formula for this. You can Manifest Nomad Life!
